Monday 24 January 2022 Solihull Academy Basketball Last week we took nine of our KS4 students to North Solihull Sports Centre to practice and play basketball for the first time. They spent 90 minutes working on basic skills such as passing and shooting, finishing with a match where the students worked as part of a team to demonstrate the skills they had learnt. The students displayed great energy and enthusiasm during the basketball enrichment session and we look forward to the next one where we will be focusing on dribbling and defence, ahead of a friendly match we hope to play against another school in the near future. We are delighted to be expanding our sports offer for our students and we hope that over time, many more students will have the opportunity to engage with and develop lifelong skills and a passion for basketball.
